Commercial Hen Party Dance Class Blackpool

A commercial hen party dance class in Blackpool for the group who came for the video rather than the fancy dress: proper music-video choreography, sharp and current, set to whatever the party has been playing in the taxi. Learn it, clean it, film it. The whole group pays once: £185 plus the venue for ninety minutes, and £160 plus the venue if an hour suits you better.

Why groups pick Commercial

The one that gives you the video.

Commercial is what most people actually mean when they say they want to dance like the music video. It isn't a decade, a film or a fancy dress theme — it's the choreography style behind chart performances and tour openings, which makes it the most flexible thing on our hen party dance class list. Your group picks the track. The choreographer builds a routine to it that afternoon, pitched at what the room can actually manage, and the whole session points at one thing: thirty to sixty seconds of footage that looks properly good on a phone.

It's also the theme that ages best across a group. A commercial hen do dance class works for a party of twenty-three-year-olds who know every TikTok and for a party where the bride's aunties come along, because the choreographer sets the difficulty once she's seen who's in the room. Bodyrolls stay optional. Floorwork only appears if somebody asks. What everyone gets is clean timing, sharp arms, a couple of moments of attitude and a finish that lands together. Nothing is promised in advance and there is no set track list — songs get swapped on the day when the room tells us to. Heels, matching outfits and whatever else is planned for the photos are yours to bring; we never supply shoes, props or costumes, and trainers dance better anyway.

For a Blackpool weekend it's an efficient dance hen party: nobody needs a costume, so there's nothing to buy and nothing to carry, and the class fits between checking in and heading out. Groups who want the same style with more attitude and less polish read the Street Dance class next, while anyone wanting one artist's catalogue tends towards Beyoncé. And if someone leaves annoyed that it's over, our weekly dance classes run in town all year for a tenner a session.

Included as standard

Where the £185 plus the venue actually goes.

Ninety minutes is the sensible pick here, because a filmed routine needs cleaning and cleaning takes time. The only other number on the quote is room hire, and you'll see it before you agree to anything. If you've been comparing commercial dance class hen party prices across Blackpool, note this one is for the whole party, not per person.

What's included

  • Professional dance instructor
  • Commercial choreography built for your group
  • All music and sound equipment
  • Warm-up and cool-down
  • Beginner-friendly instruction
  • Photo and video opportunities
  • Help picking the theme and the song
  • Group coordination beforehand
  • A spotlight moment for the bride

What you'll experience

  • A routine choreographed to a track your group chooses
  • Counts taught eight at a time, then stitched together
  • Difficulty set by what the room can do, not by a lesson plan
  • Optional attitude moments nobody is press-ganged into
  • The bride given the centre of the shot, if she wants it
  • A final take filmed properly rather than as an afterthought

Perfect for

  • Groups whose whole plan is the video
  • A bride who has learned choreography off her phone before
  • Hens who'd rather dance to this year's songs than 1978's
  • The hen party activity that needs no costumes bought in advance
  • Parties mixing twenty-somethings and mums without splitting them up
  • Anyone bored of the usual Blackpool weekend itinerary

What the session looks like

The warm-up doubles as an audition of sorts — not for anybody's benefit but the choreographer's, who spends it working out how quickly this particular room learns. Then the routine arrives in eight-count blocks: taught slowly, drilled, joined to the block before, drilled again. Most groups have half the routine inside forty minutes and are surprised by that. Somewhere in the middle the music goes on properly for the first time and the mood in the room shifts.

After that it's about making it look deliberate: spacing, timing, who's in front, where the bride ends up, and one or two moments that exist purely because they film well. Ninety minutes leaves space for several takes at the end rather than one nervous attempt, which is the difference between footage you keep and footage you delete. This is the usual shape rather than a running order we guarantee — the actual split of the time gets decided in the room, with your group.

Ages nineteen to sixty-one in one room and nobody was left behind. That surprised me most.

Booked it because nobody wanted fancy dress. Turns out you don't need any of that to have the best afternoon of the weekend.

Things worth knowing

Commercial, in plain terms.

IWhich track will the Commercial routine be set to?

Whichever one you send us — most groups have already argued it out before they enquire, and the choreographer plans around whatever arrives. Nothing is locked in, though: tracks get swapped on the day if the room takes to something else. We never sell a fixed setlist.

IIDo we need heels for the Commercial class?

Not at all. Plenty of groups dance in trainers and the routine is built so heels are an option rather than a requirement. We don't supply shoes, costumes or props, so anything you want in the photos comes with you.

IIIIs Commercial choreography hard to learn in one session?

It's taught eight counts at a time and drilled before anything new is added, which is why beginners cope with it. The choreographer decides how much detail the room can take within the first ten minutes. Nobody is left staring at the back of somebody's head.

IVWill we get a video of the Commercial routine?

Filming the last few run-throughs is normal and we plan the ending around it, but the phones are yours — prop one on the speaker or hand it to whoever is least keen to dance. Ninety minutes buys several takes rather than one panicked go.

VDoes Commercial work for a mixed-ability hen group?

It's arguably the best hen party idea for one, because the difficulty is set on the day rather than in advance. Anyone who wants the trickier version gets it; anyone who wants to keep it simple does that and still looks right in the video.

VIWhere does the Commercial class happen in Blackpool?

Hornby Road, FY1 4RD is the usual answer — a function room we hire in Blackpool town centre, a few streets back from the Promenade and close to the tram stops. If the group would rather not move, we'll bring the class to your hotel, apartment or holiday let, here or elsewhere on the Fylde coast.
