Dear hen organiser,

Hen Party Dance Class Blackpool

& Dance Classes in Blackpool

Blackpool is where the country comes for a hen weekend — and where nearly everything is priced per head. We're the exception: a themed hen party dance class in Blackpool for one flat fee, actually! £185 plus the venue for the ninety-minute workshop, whoever turns up. Twenty weekly classes and first-dance lessons too, taught by dancers who live on the Fylde coast.

The hen bit

Thirty-eight themes.
One price for the lot of you.

A hen do dance class taught in a hired town-centre function room or your seafront hotel, by a choreographer who treats it as the funniest hour of the weekend rather than a lesson — the hen party activity in Blackpool that leaves you with a video, not a hangover. The finale gets filmed. It always gets filmed.

The weekly bit

Twenty classes a week,
a tenner to try one.

Ballroom to street, salsa to tap — because a town that hosts the world's biggest dance festival ought to have somewhere locals can actually learn. £10 to drop in, £32 for a block of four, no membership.

Wedding Dance Blackpool

A first dance you'll enjoy rather than endure. Private lessons for two, to your song, at a hired studio, your living room or the venue floor itself — from one £75 lesson to a properly rehearsed routine.

Made on the Golden Mile

The hen capital,
done properly.

Blackpool has seen every kind of hen weekend and every hen party idea going. What it hasn't always had is a dance hen party that treats the group like a group — one room, one choreographer, one price — a short walk from the Comedy Carpet, the piers and whichever hotel on the front you've taken over.

How it works

Send the date.
We send the plan.

Rough date, rough headcount, a theme if you have one. Within a day you'll have availability, the flat price and where the class happens — the function room we hire, or your hotel if there's floor space. Then get back to the important argument about karaoke.

Town centre,
seconds from the front.

Hen classes run in a function room we hire on Hornby Road (FY1 4RD), two minutes from the Winter Gardens and a short walk from Blackpool North station and the Promenade, so a hen weekend based in any seafront hotel can walk to us and walk back to the Golden Mile after. Weekly classes stay central; weddings go wherever the couple are.

Questions you might have

Before you book the hen.

What organisers ask us before booking a hen party dance class in Blackpool — or a dance hen party, hen do dance class, whatever the group chat is calling it. Anything else, the form is just below.

IIs the price really the same for a big Blackpool hen group?

Yes. £185 plus the venue for the ninety-minute workshop, or £160 plus the venue for an hour, and that's the figure whether ten of you come or twenty-eight. Blackpool is a per-head town in almost every other respect, which is exactly why we don't do it — nobody should be chasing a friend for her share on the Sunday morning.

IIHalf of us have never danced. Does that matter?

Not in the slightest — that's the normal hen group. Routines are taught in short repeated chunks from a standing start, and the choreographer reads the room rather than the plan, so the confident ones get extra flourishes while everyone else nails the basics. By the finale it's one group.

IIICan you come to our hotel on the Promenade?

Often, yes. If your hotel has a function room or your apartment has a clear stretch of floor, we'll bring the class to you anywhere in Blackpool, and out along the Fylde coast to Lytham, Cleveleys and Fleetwood by arrangement. Otherwise it runs in the function room we hire on Hornby Road, FY1 4RD, two minutes from the Winter Gardens.

IVWhat's the biggest group you've taught in Blackpool?

Well over thirty — Blackpool hens come in coachloads. Groups that size suit the ninety-minute workshop, which leaves time to learn, to laugh at it and to film it. Give us a rough headcount when you enquire and we'll match the room to the party.

VDo we pick the theme, or do you?

You do, from 38+ — Strictly, Grease, Beyoncé, Burlesque, Line Dancing and the rest — and the bride's must-play song can be built in. Can't agree in the group chat? Tell us three things about the bride and we'll suggest a shortlist.

VIHow far ahead do Blackpool weekends book up?

Summer and Illuminations-season Saturdays go first, so two months' notice is comfortable. Nearer than that, still ask — weekday and Sunday slots are often free. "Some weekend in July" is a perfectly good starting date for us to check.
